Director's Welcome
Dear friends,
We started a study abroad program in Israel called Thrive in 2014 because we noticed how much of an impact living in Israel for over four months had on students. We partnered with Hebrew U and then in 2018 with Tel Aviv University as well, to build onto their study abroad program creating a close-knit cohort of students who wanted to go deeper exploring the Jewish homeland. Meeting people in Israel and exploring the land left students with a nuanced appreciation of Israel and a deeper understanding of themselves as young Jewish leaders.
On a recent recruitment trip, a student part of the vibrant religious community on campus asked if they can come back to Israel to study abroad! At that moment we realized the opportunity to offer religious college students the opportunity to fulfill a semester in Hebrew University, while living in Israel as an adult for five months! This could provide the ability to see what it would be like live in Israel, develop business connections and mentors, observe various communities for Shabbatot and more. This could also be a semester to reunite with friends studying at all universities across the world.
This excitement led to the creation of Rimon Fellows. We hope you can partner with us on this unparalleled program!
